Winner of the audience award for best feature film

The premier was held at the 26th Annual Pan African Film and Art Festival (PAFF). The largest and longest film festival held in sunny Los Angeles on Sunday February 11, 2018 at 3:45 PM.
 

This is the second movies written by the director Aminah Bakeer Abdul-Jabbaar.
 

Her First film Bilalian, premiered over 15 years ago and was the winner of visionary awards at the PAFF, it is a feature-length documentary on the history and legacy of African American Muslims In Los Angeles and in Africa.
 

This epic feature has became a great resource for educators and lecturers in university and institutions of higher learning here and abroad when studying the subject of African Americans in Al-Islam.
 

The executive producer is Donald Bakeer, and sister Aminah Bakeer's father, writer of the 1987 book Crips and the now acclaimed 25-year classic legendary movie- "South Central"
 

Muslimahs Guide To Marriage is a romantic comedy that discusses issues relevant within the Islamic community: divorce, polygyny, immigration, deportation, women rights and their voices, loves and honesty- just the beginning of the relatable topics depicted.
 

This short film is a "must- see". It's been predicted that Muslimahs Guide To Marriage will soon come and "sell-out" a theater near you.
 

Sister Aminah is passionate about portraying realistic stories of African American Muslim women in today's society.
 

Amina's father Donald Bakeer he, of course, hold the title for this film project of executive producer. He is a devout Muslim, husband, father and educator for over 30 years, writer and director of critically acclaimed urban classic "South Central" a movie about a father saving his son from the LA street gang Academic.
 

Prayerfully this film and others like this will continue to be produce, on independent and other platform with the hopes of inspiring other young women and men of diverse background to create and share the authentic story and legacy.
 

Aminah Bakeer Abdul-Jabbaar was presented at Muslim Journal "A time to be grateful" held on December 13-15, 2019 in Los Angeles and hosted by Masjid Bilal of South Central.
 

Sister Aminah is represented by 3 Arts Entertainment UTA.
